We take your privacy very seriously and will process and handle any information about you in a secure manner. We always act in accordance with applicable data and privacy law.

What is Squla?

Using the Site, children can practice subjects such as numeracy, spelling and history via online games. When children play quizzes and games, they can collect coins. They can exchange these coins for fun presents. As a parent, you can see how often your child practises with Squla, which exercises are completed and how many questions your child answers correctly or incorrectly.

What information do We collect and process?

Squla account

To be able to make use of the Site, you must create a personal account (‘parent account’). We need the following information to open a parent account: first name, surname and email address. If you take out a subscription to access Squla content (see further information on the Site), relevant financial information (such as credit card or bank account details) will also be collected and used. You can also choose to provide the following information in relation to each parent account: date of birth, user name, address and telephone number.

Using your parent account, you can create an account for your children (each being a ‘child account’). We need the following information to open each child account: first name and year group. You can also choose to provide the following information in relation to each child account: surname, gender, email address, date of birth, address, place of residence and school.

We will not share the contact details from your parent account and the associated child accounts with other users.

To be able to use Squla you must create a personal parent account. Via the parent account you can create a child account with which your child can play with Squla. Access and management of the child account is via the parent account.

Automatically generated information

To help Squla work properly (to show the pages properly and secure the Site for example), We need to collect certain information about your use of the Site. This information consists of your IP address (the number of your computer which makes it possible to recognise your computer), the browser type (the computer software to be able to view internet pages), the computer system that you use, account number, the pages on the Site you visit and “cookies”.

In that case your login details are not stored. This means that you must more often log in (again) by entering your username and password.

How will We use information about you?

We collect and process personal data for the following purposes:

  • to offer and deliver to you the agreed Squla services.
  • to give you the opportunity to place and exchange information on the Site, or, if We offer this option, to contact other users;
  • to process payments. We never openly publish your financial information and only make this available to third parties as necessary to process payments for subscriptions which you take out on the Site;
  • to send you information on Squla and on Our same or similar services, and to send you user information, reports, service notifications or other electronic messages;
  • to analyse, maintain, secure, improve and optimise the Site; and
  • to compile anonymised statistical data.

We keep your personal information for as long as needed for the above purposes or to otherwise comply with law. If you prefer not to receive email messages from Us, you can unsubscribe via info@squla.co.uk. An option to unsubscribe is also included in every email which We send to you. Please note that for some messages it is not possible to unsubscribe, such as service messages and messages confirming a purchase.

We use automatically generated data for statistical purposes as well as to protect and improve Squla. This data can be provided to third parties insofar as they are fully anonymised.

We can exchange personal information it processes with other subsidiaries of FutureWhiz Media B.V. and combine your personal information with data collected in the context of your purchase or use of products or services of We or other subsidiaries of FutureWhiz Media B.V. If you object to the exchange and combining of your personal information with other subsidiaries of FutureWhiz Media B.V. you can notify this via privacy@squla.co.uk.

Your information is not provided to any third parties without your express consent, with the exception of the following: We can provide your information to third parties if we are obliged to do so by applicable law, if we are required to do so as the result of a court order and in the event We deem necessary in order to protect Our rights. We will also provide personal information to processors who on Our instruction provide products or services to you at your request. Inspecting, changing, improving or removing your personal information

We may ask you to verify your identify before complying with any request.

If we are not able to determine (in full) to which personal information your request for inspection, change, or deletion relates, we can ask you to specify your request (further). We suspend the performance of your request until you have given us such (further) specification.

We will send you the requested information as soon as possible, in any event within 4 weeks after your request.

If you want us to stop processing your personal data and you request us to delete your data, we will consider whether your request is lawful. We will comply with your request if the data is factually incorrect, the purpose or purposes of the processing are incomplete or not relevant to the matter at hand or if the processing conflicts with law.
